Invitation to the Preparation Meeting of "Ende Gelände - Leave it in the Ground" 1-3 May 15 near Cologne

Hello everyone,

this year there will be a lot of talk about coal power and climate change, be it from the German minister of economy or from the participants at the UN Climate Convention in decembre. All their talk has yet to produce the emissions reductions necessary to prevent catastrophic climate change. That's why in the summer of 2015 we are also called to make climate protection a hands on job: under the heading of "Ende Gelände" on the weekend of 14th-16th August a large-scale action of civil disobedience will take place in the Rhineland lignite mining pits.

We warmly invite you to join us for a preparatory meeting for this action: Take part in the action and come to our planning session from 1st - 3rd of May, near Cologne.

  • The "Ende Gelände" Campaign is beeing organised by a range of Groups from the Climate Mouvement since last autumn. The meeting in Cologne is focused on our mobilisation and broadening our alliance. That's why we would be particularly pleased to see you there, if you have not taken part in the organisation up to now! Apart from the "Ende Gelände" Action this summer a climate camp (7th- 17th of August) and embedded in this the Degrowth Summer School (9th-14th of August) will take place in the Rhineland and offer spaces for education & connection.
